The Internet is a powerful learning tool, however it can easily be misused. To best Internet in the classroom, resources must be carefully chosen by the teacher. Furthermore, it's use must be relatively advantageous over more traditional methods. For example, if you aim is for students to read information and then complete a worksheet on it, it would be more efficient to simply print out the information and not have students use the computers. However, if there is information you want to sow that cannot be displayed in print or would like students to practice other skills like using online tools to collaborate with a group, bringing internet-enriched lessons to your classroom can greatly increase student learning and help them learn valuable 21st century skills.
